Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a procedure in which the male partner’s sperm or donor sperm is introduced, via medical intervention, into the female patient’s reproductive tract close to the time of ovulation.
During the IUI process, a very thin, flexible catheter is inserted through the cervix and “washed” sperm is injected into the uterus.
